Volunteer Application for Huntley Meadows Park
Computer Consultant, Program Leader, Weekend Desk Duty (VOD)

Huntley Meadows Park is a wetland sanctuary visited by hundreds of thousands of people. We have many volunteers assisting in all aspects of park operations, such as visitor services and resource management projects. We are currently looking for additional help with programs, front desk coverage and an Access computer consultant.

Program Leaders-do you love interacting with children?
We need help weekday mornings from 10-noon to teach school-aged children about the values of wetlands. We ask that you teach twice a month. Training provided.

Weekend Volunteer-on-Duty (VOD)-are you a people person?
Front desk volunteers greet and orient visitors, answer wildlife questions and phone calls, and register people for programs. We ask that you be able to work one or two monthly shifts; usually 9-1pm or 1-5pm. On-the-job training provided.

Computer Consultant-proficient in Access?
Our herbarium volunteers need help writing and manipulating programs in Microsoft Access for the site's plant database. Your role would be to provide some training and to problem solve when questions arise. May require some meetings at the park. Times vary.
