Meadows Park
Computer Consultant, Program Leader,
Weekend Desk Duty (VOD)
Huntley Meadows Park is a wetland sanctuary visited
by hundreds of thousands of people. We have many volunteers
assisting in all aspects of park operations, such as
visitor services and resource management projects. We
are currently looking for additional help with programs,
front desk coverage and an Access computer consultant.
Program
Leaders-do you love interacting with children?
We need help weekday mornings from 10-noon to teach
school-aged children about the values of wetlands. We
ask that you teach twice a month. Training provided.
Weekend
Volunteer-on-Duty (VOD)-are you a people person?
Front desk volunteers greet and orient visitors, answer
wildlife questions and phone calls, and register people
for programs. We ask that you be able to work one or
two monthly shifts; usually 9-1pm or 1-5pm. On-the-job
training provided.
Computer
Consultant-proficient in Access?
Our herbarium volunteers need help writing and manipulating
programs in Microsoft Access for the site's plant database.
Your role would be to provide some training and to problem
solve when questions arise. May require some meetings
at the park. Times vary.
