Saturday March 7
Birding for Beginners
8-11am. Sharpen your waterfowl identification skills while birding with a park naturalist. Meets in the Visitor Center parking lot. Reservations required. $6

Saturday March 7
Evening Wildlife Walk
5:30-7pm. Explore the Hike/Bike Trail in hopes of discovering calling frogs and owls, migrating waterfowl and displaying American woodcock. Bring optics and a flashlight. Meet at the park's South King's Highway entrance. Sponsored by FOHMP. Reservations required. Cancelled if rain. $6

Saturday March 14
Birds and Bagels
8-10:30am. Enjoy the end of winter during this morning search for waterfowl. Following the walk, you'll warm up with hot drinks and fresh bagels. Sponsored by FOHMP. Reservations required. $8

Saturday March 21
Park Manager Walk and Talk
4-6pm. Join Park Manager Kevin Munroe on these monthly walks. Find out about the wetland restoration project and learn about the wildlife for which the Park is known. Reservations required. Cancelled if rain. FREE

Park Manager Walk and Talk

Sunday April 19
Spring Birds and Bagels
(Adults), 8-11am. Search for warblers, thrushes, waterfowl and a host of other birds as we approach the peak of spring migration. Following the hike, recap the sightings during a continental breakfast at the center. Binoculars and field guides recommended. Sponsored by FOHMP. Reservations required. $8

Saturday, April 25
Movement in Response to Nature
11am-1pm. Come participate in improvisational movement in response to the magic that is Huntley Meadows Park. This program is a creative way to experience wonder, meditation, and playfulness in a beautiful, natural setting. Dancer, choreographer, and creativity facilitator Karen Nyere will lead gentle guided movement forms in the forest, on the boardwalk, and at the observation tower. No experience necessary. Reservations required. Raindate Sunday 4/26 $10

Off-trail Birding at South King's Highway
(Adults), 7-9:30am. This is the height of neotropical songbird migration. Dress for going off trail. Binoculars and field guides are recommended. Meet at the park's South King's Highway entrance. Reservations required. Cancelled if rain. FREE.

Saturday May 16
Wonderful Web of Life
8-10am. Start the morning with relaxation exercises, a walk to the Observation Tower, and basic yoga positions while hearing, seeing, and feeling the world around us. Reservations required. Canceled if rain. $6
